Summary: Heracles was the son of the Zeus, king of the Greek gods. When he committed a terrible crime, Heracles was sent to serve King Eurystheus of the city of Tiryns as punishment. The king gave Heracles an increasingly difficult list of tasks to accomplish before he would be freed.
